The day’s hike, a gentle 3.5-hour uphill journey, takes you through the highland valleys. These serene landscapes, dotted with herds of llamas and alpacas, lead you to the Pampa Arapa basecamp. Here, indulge in a freshly prepared lunch by our expert chef. As the day draws to a close, seize the opportunity to capture the spectacular Ausangate sunset. The evening culminates with a delightful tea session, accompanied by popcorn and chocolate, before a well-deserved dinner.

Day 2: Pampa Arapa to Puka Cocha: Passes and Lakes

The descent from the pass introduces you to a series of stunning lakes: Yana Cocha, Comer Cocha, and Puca Cocha. The journey culminates at a campsite nestled close to the imposing Ausangate Mountain. After a hearty lunch, the afternoon is yours to explore and soak in the mesmerizing mountain views and majestic hanging glaciers.
