Cusco – Layo – Pallay Poncho Mountain – Cusco

Here, invigorate yourself with a hearty breakfast before we set off on the picturesque route toward Sicuani, pausing to admire the mesmerizing cerulean stretch of Langui Lagoon. Our journey then takes us to Layo, the starting point for our thrilling two-hour uphill hike.
Trek through verdant pastures and striking red terrains, keeping an eye out for indigenous fauna like alpacas and llamas, and the possibility of sighting rare birds like kestrels or even the majestic Andean condor. The pinnacle of our hike is the awe-inducing Pallay Punchu of Apu Taqllo, a geological marvel featuring a vivid array of naturally etched colors like red, brown, yellow, and ocher. From this vantage point, hovering above 4,600 MASL (15,100 FASL), revel in unparalleled views of the Langui Lagoon and the distant Andes mountain range.
